Same-Day Repair for a Broken Tooth

Have you chipped a front tooth, cracked a molar while eating, or lost an old filling? A cracked, chipped or broken tooth weakens your bite and leaves the sensitive inner nerve exposed to bacteria. At Green Apple Dental we treat structural damage as a priority and reserve same-day appointments so the tooth is sealed, comfortable and natural-looking again, usually in one visit.

  • Same-day emergency appointments
  • Crowns and onlays finished in one visit

Why act quickly

A Broken Tooth Rarely Gets Better on Its Own

Enamel does not grow back. Once a tooth is cracked or chipped, chewing forces work on the weak point and the damage spreads, often into the nerve. Bacteria reach the softer dentine underneath, which is why a broken tooth that did not hurt at first can become sensitive, then painful, then infected.

Treating it early keeps the repair small. A chip that can be bonded in twenty minutes today may need a root canal and a crown next month. If you have broken a tooth, call us the same day; even if there is no pain, we will check the tooth, smooth any sharp edges and plan the right repair.

Knocked-out or badly broken teeth are emergencies. Keep any pieces, avoid chewing on that side and read our broken tooth emergency guide while you travel to us.

Advanced Solutions for Broken Teeth

The right repair depends on how much tooth is left and where the damage sits. Most are completed in a single visit using our same-day digital workflow.

Composite bonding

Tooth-coloured resin is layered and sculpted directly onto the tooth to rebuild minor chips and cracks in one short visit, with no laboratory and no temporary.

Porcelain crowns

A custom ceramic cap surrounds a severely damaged tooth to restore full biting strength. Our CEREC workflow designs, mills and fits the crown in the same appointment.

Inlays and onlays

Precision ceramic restorations replace a lost biting surface or a large broken filling when a full crown is not needed, preserving more of your natural tooth.

Porcelain veneers

Ultra-thin porcelain surfaces permanently cover chips and cracks on front teeth, matching the shape and colour of their neighbours.

Broken Tooth Questions

Is a broken tooth a dental emergency?
Often, yes. A tooth that is painful, sharp, bleeding or badly broken should be seen the same day. Even a painless chip should be checked within a few days, because cracks spread and bacteria can reach the nerve. Call either clinic and we will fit you in.
Can you fix a broken tooth in one visit?
Usually. Bonding is completed in one short appointment, and our same-day CEREC workflow lets us design, mill and fit a ceramic crown or onlay while you wait, with no temporary and no second visit.
What should I do until my appointment?
Rinse gently with warm water, keep any broken piece in milk or saliva, avoid chewing on that side and cover a sharp edge with dental wax or sugar-free gum if it is cutting your tongue or cheek. Take over-the-counter pain relief if needed.
Will the repair match my other teeth?
Yes. Bonding resin, ceramic crowns and veneers are all shade-matched to your natural teeth and shaped to blend with their neighbours.
Does insurance cover repairing a broken tooth?
Fillings, bonding and crowns are standard restorative procedures covered by most plans and by the Canadian Dental Care Plan, subject to your plan's rules. We direct bill and give you an estimate before treatment.
