Dr. Pavandeep Kaur Kooner
General Dentist, BSc. MBA DMD
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Kooner founded Green Apple Dental to provide Surrey, BC, with compassionate, affordable, high-quality dental care. Known for her integrity and gentle approach, Dr. Kooner combines advanced dental technology and extensive education to ensure a comfortable, modern experience for every patient.
After graduating from Queen Elizabeth Senior Secondary in Surrey, she earned her Bachelor of Science from UBC and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia. Since 2005, Dr. Kooner has been a certified Invisalign provider and has completed 300+ hours of advanced training in dental implants with the AAID Vancouver Maxicourse, making her an expert in both orthodontic and restorative treatments.
Green Apple Dental, under Dr. Kooner's leadership, is known for utilizing advanced dental technology to ensure safe, precise, and effective treatments. She is passionate about staying current with the latest advancements in dental technology and ongoing dental education, in order to deliver of state-of-the-art care in a warm, welcoming environment.
Outside the practice, Dr. Kooner enjoys cooking, jogging, hiking, and snowboarding. She is also a proud mother of two young children.
Dr. Mirna Cancar
General Dentist, DMD from the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Dentistry in 1984
From 1985 to 1992, Dr. Cancar served as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry, specializing in Prosthodontics in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During this period, she also pursued postgraduate studies in Prosthodontics. After the war, Dr. Cancar immigrated to Canada in 1994 and became licensed to practice dentistry. She joined Green Apple Dental in 2009 and became a certified Invisalign provider in 2013. Dr. Cancar is fluent in Serbian, Croatian, and English.
In her free time, Dr. Cancar enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She shares a love for classical music with her son, Aleks, and is an avid tennis fan, following players like Novak Djokovic and Milos Raonic.
Dr. Cancar is passionate about dentistry and loves treating both children and adults. In her care, you can always expect to be treated like family.
Dr. Simrat Grewal
General Dentist, DMD from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry in 2015, B. Sc., D.M.D.
After completing his B. Sc. in cell and molecular biology at S.F.U., Dr. Grewal attended U.B.C. for his D.M.D. degree. He is also a certified Invisalign provider. Dr. Grewal believes in taking a preventative approach to dentistry. By identifying and treating problems as soon as they arise, most types of dental pain can be prevented. Dr. Grewal understands that many patients are nervous to visit the dental office. However, by taking time to explain the steps of each procedure beforehand, much of the anxiety can be alleviated. Dr. Grewal has a calm and caring demeanor that will put you at ease.
Dr. Jas Bains
General Dentist, BSc. DMD
Dr. Jas Bains is a general dentist who earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney in Australia. With experience in both private and public dentistry sectors, including urban and rural communities, he has developed a deep understanding of community oral health and patient needs.
Dr. Bains is dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care with a patient-centered approach, creating a comfortable environment for informed decision-making. His practice emphasizes empathy, kindness, and decisive decision-making to achieve optimal dental outcomes.
Born and raised in Surrey, BC, Dr. Bains stays updated on oral health literature and techniques and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends, participating in sports, reading, and exploring new restaurants and cafés.
Dr. Prabhjot Bhullar
General Dentist, DMD
Dr. Prabhjot Bhullar obtained his dental education in India and completed the certification process to become a licensed dentist in Canada in 2016. To better serve his patients, he dedicates a significant amount of time towards continuing education to keep up to date with technology and innovation in dentistry.
Dr. Bhullar practices the full scope of general dentistry including fillings, root canal treatment, crowns/bridges, cosmetic veneers, and wisdom teeth extractions. He also offers oral sedation (pills) to help his anxious patients. He enjoys explaining the science behind common dental procedures in an easy to understand manner.
Dr. Bhullar loves to spend his spare time with his young family, playing tennis, cooking, listening to podcasts, reading history and science books, and catching up on his favourite shows and movies. He looks forward to interacting with you.
